Rachel Thompson is dedicated to her vision of improving the well-being of persons living with Alzheimer's and dementia. Through her own experiences with her grandmothers, she has developed a passion for reintroducing the leisure of reading into the lives of individuals living with dementia. She is an alumna of the University of Waterloo’s Honours Health Studies Program within the Applied Health Sciences program, and has presented at conferences contributing to the field of public health. Rachel is also an alumna of the St. Paul’s GreenHouse social venture incubator program, where she grew Marlena Books from an idea to a business. Follow Rachel on Twitter.

Karen Thompson is our lead researcher. She is a M.A. candidate in Recreation and Leisure Studies within the faculty of Applied Health Sciences from The University of Waterloo. Her research interests include dementia, gerontology, and relationships. Karen provides our team with the latest knowledge on best practices that we can adopt and implement into our company. Keeping the interests and values of individuals living with Alzheimer's and dementia and their care partners at the forefront of our company, we hope to better support individuals and educate our networks.
